Wynne Young

Appointed by the Government of Saskatchewan

Wynne Young was appointed Deputy Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport in June 2009.  Prior to that, she was the Deputy Minister of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour from November 2007 - June 2009.  She had previously been the Deputy Minister of Saskatchewan Learning from April 2006 - November 2007, Deputy Minister of Community Resources and Employment 2004-2006, and Chair of the Saskatchewan Public Service Commission from 1997 to 2004.  

Wynne has been with the Government of Saskatchewan for 25 years and has held a number of policy and management positions in the Departments of Health and Finance and she was also a Senior Policy Advisor in the Policy and Planning Unit of Executive Council.

Ms. Young is the National President of IPAC (Institute of Public Administration of Canada).  Locally, she is also President of the Regina YMCA.

Ms. Young has her Master of Education (Administration) from the University of Regina.
