Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence
Nomination deadline: February 6, 2015
Nominate a tourism business today for the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence.
The Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence acknowledge exceptional contributions to the province’s tourism sector. These industry awards honour individuals, businesses, communities and events that go above and beyond to provide great experiences and service. Consider your own accomplishments or those of your peers and submit your nominations.
Awards are presented in 12 categories that acknowledge superior quality in marketing, service, business practices, human resource development and other areas. The deadline for nominations has been extended to February 6.
The 26th Annual Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala will be held at the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon on April 16. The gala will be held in conjunction with the HOST Saskatchewan Conference, which takes place April 16-17 in Saskatoon.
Three good reasons for pursuing a Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence nomination:
• CELEBRATE YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Compete on the provincial stage for recognition as one of Saskatchewan’s top tourism businesses. Peer recognition can be important in your future success.
• PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS
Award winners will experience direct marketing benefits from Tourism Saskatchewan. Your business will be profiled in print materials, media releases, online and other promotions.
• INSPIRE YOUR TEAM
Produce a show-stopping entry and share the experience with your team. Employees will feel a sense of pride working for a business that has received such an honour.
Changes to Award Categories, Criteria and Process
To be continually successful and relevant to stakeholders, tourism award programs need to evolve in accordance with industry changes and trends. Tourism Saskatchewan undertook an internal review of the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence. The review process involved industry consultation, which yielded a number of recommendations that have been implemented to the award categories and nomination process. Tourism Saskatchewan is grateful to tourism industry stakeholders who participated in discussion and provided valuable insights.
