Bill Restall
Mr. Bill Restall was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He attended the University of Winnipeg where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. He continued his studies at the University of Manitoba and completed a Bachelor of Commerce honours degree in 1974. He received his accreditation as an Airport Executive in 1995.
Bill commenced his career in airport management in 1974, and has had stints as a Duty Manager at the Winnipeg International Airport; Airport Manager at Churchill, Manitoba, and Whitehorse, Yukon; and as the Central Regional Director - Airport Operations for Transport Canada. He became the Airport Manager for the Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport in July 1985. Bill stayed with the airport when it was transferred to a local airport authority on January 1, 1999. He is currently the President and CEO for the authority.
Bill was one of the Founding Members/Directors of the Saskatchewan Aviation Council. He is also the Vice-Chair and Director with the Canadian Airports Council; a Director with the Airports Council International - North America; a Director with the Northwest Chapter of the Association of Airport Executives; a Past-Director and member of the North Saskatoon Business Association; a member of the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the International Association of Airport Executives – Canada.
