Dean Bauche

As Director of Galleries for the City of North Battleford, Mr. Dean Bauche has been responsible for bringing the Allen Sapp Gallery to national prominence.  Dean served three terms on the Museum Association of Saskatchewan acting as Vice-President.  He later served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Museums Association.  Over the years, he worked on national and provincial committees, and is recognized as a strong advocate and spokesperson for culture and art.

Dean has been responsible for a variety of significant undertakings, most notably the award winning national touring exhibition, Through the Eyes of the Cree.  This exhibition brought the art of Allen Sapp to Canadians from the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, Quebec to sixteen other venues over five years.  This exhibition has been viewed by over 200,000 visitors and has won numerous awards including a Saskatchewan Tourism Award of Excellence in 1994, 2002, and 2006.  Dean’s work with the Allen Sapp Gallery has been twice honoured with Attractions Canada Awards for Best Provincial Indoor Site, along with other tributes.
