James Hodges
For four decades, Mr. James Hodges has been actively involved in Saskatchewan’s arts and entertainment scene. During the late 1970’s, he honed his management skills by producing the Sundog Arts Fair as a volunteer. In 1980, he created two companies, Roadside Attractions and Crosstown Entertainment, focusing on the business of the performing arts. In 1987/88, he created a yearly dance subscription series, Dance Alive!, for Saskatoon, hosting all of Canada’s major dance companies, including international touring dance companies. For seven years, James managed one of North America’s most popular a cappella bands, Saskatoon’s STREETNiX.
Over the past three decades, James has presented hundreds of national and international performing artists and arts organizations in Saskatchewan. As well, he has worked with the local arts, business, and tourism community producing, marketing, and managing dozens of performers, events, and celebrations. James has also volunteered his time on local boards and committees, sharing the knowledge gained through his broad business associations.
