Ken Wilkinson
Mr. Ken Wilkinson has been a potter for thirty years. He found his love of pottery through an elective pottery class at the University of Saskatchewan, where he studied with ceramic master Jim Thornsbury. The art school atmosphere taught Ken to see clay’s beauty beyond its function. He loves the variety available in working with clay and though he has had a range of jobs, from computer science to tree planter, he has always returned to clay and the creative process.
Ken participated in the design, building, and firing of highfire reduction, salt and raku kilns, and enjoys experimenting with new looks and textures. He has also participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Saskatchewan, many of which have toured throughout the province.
