Marla Preston

Ms. Marla Preston was born in Regina, although she was raised on Canada’s west coast.  She began her professional career in the hotel industry in 1993 as a Director of Sales.  In 1999, she was recruited by the FCC Group Investments Corporation as General Manager of the Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan, the position that she holds to this day.  With a vast repertoire of specialized hotel management schooling, Marla attended the General Manager’s Program at New York’s Cornell University.  Her most recent achievement is the American Hotel and Lodging Certified Hotel Administrator designation.

For nine years in a row under her direct management, the Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan has attained the prestigious Four Diamond Award, as well as the Radisson President’s Award.  In 2004, the hotel was awarded the Radisson ‘Pinnacle Award.’  Radisson Hotels Worldwide honoured Marla at the Global Business Conference in Paris in May of 2007.  She was named the brand’s top manager in the Americas and was presented with the Esprit Award.

Marla has acted on many provincial and city boards including Regina Downtown, the Hotels Association of Saskatchewan, and Tourism Saskatchewan.  She served as Chair of Tourism Regina, and is a former member of RREDA (Regina Regional Economic Development Authority), the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club (Canada’s Professional Football League), and the Hotels Association of Regina.
