Ray Ahenakew
Mr. Ray Ahenakew has served in a variety of roles pertaining to improving opportunities in economic development for First Nation people. His business acumen is sought across Canada and he was recently profiled as one of Saskatchewan’s top ten most influential businessmen. In 2009, he was honoured with the Raj Manek Above and Beyond Award.
Ray serves as Chair of the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority. He has recently stepped down as Acting President of the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies and now serves in the capacity of Business Development Advisor. Ray is currently a board member of the Peace Hills Trust, on which he has served for the last 15 years, with two terms having been Chair. He has been a member of the Aboriginal Committee for the Auditor General for the past five years and has also served as CEO of the Meadow Lake Tribal Council for 17 years.
