Royce Pettyjohn

A Past-President of the Museums Association of Saskatchewan, Mr. Royce Pettyjohn has worked in the heritage field in Saskatchewan for over two decades.  The past 18 years have been spent with the Parks Canada Agency in various roles including A/Cultural Resource Management Coordinator for the Saskatchewan South Field Unit; A/Site Manager of Fort Battleford; Frenchman Butte and Frog Lake National Historic Sites of Canada; and the Coordinator of Communications, Visitor Services and Heritage Presentation at Fort Walsh and Cypress Hills Massacre National Historic Sites of Canada.  Royce is the Past-Chair of the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park Marketing Committee and currently volunteers to serve as the A/Coordinator of the new Cypress Hills Destination Area Coalition.


Outside of Parks Canada, Royce serves as a board member for the S.W. Sask. Oldtimers' Museum and Archive, as well as a member of the Maple Creek Heritage Advisory Committee.  Royce resides in Maple Creek, where he is currently serving as the Site Manager of Fort Walsh and Cypress Hills Massacre National Historic Sites of Canada.
