Shann Gowan

Ms. Shann Gowan has been a self-employed graphic artist since 1990, and plays a significant role in a number of successful festivals and events in the province’s southwest.  She produces the Blenders Series, StirCrazy Blues Festivals, Long Day’s Night Music Festivals, Windscape Kite Festivals, and is the Promotions and Marketing Coordinator for the Art Gallery of Swift Current.


Shann received her Visual Communications Diploma with honours from the Medicine Hat College in 1989.  She has done extensive work in communications and graphic design for a variety of Saskatchewan businesses, corporations, and community organizations.  Her efforts have been recognized with the Tourism Saskatchewan Award of Excellence for Marketing and Promotion of an Event or Festival in 2005 for the StirCrazy Blues Festival, in 2006 for the Windscape Kite Festival, and in 2008 for the Long Day’s Night Music Festival.  Shann was honoured with the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal in 2005 for her contributions to the arts.
